Mazda Road To IndyMazda Road To Indy

The Mazda Road to Indy is a driver development program, providing a scholarship-funded path to reach the Verizon IndyCar Series.[1] and Indianapolis 500. Sanctioned by IndyCar, the Mazda Road to Indy is owned and managed by Andersen Promotions. On December 9, 2010 it was announced that Mazda would become the title sponsor of the program and provide scholarships for series champions to advance to the next rung of the ladder[2] with all three series running on Cooper Tires.

Since its launch in 2010, the Mazda Road to Indy ladder system has attracted competitors from around the globe. Drivers from Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Colombia, Finland, France, Ireland, Korea, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Philippines, Spain, United Kingdom, Venezuela and Zimbabwe have been part of the grids, showcasing their talents at premier venues on a mix of road courses, temporary street circuits and ovals.

Team USA ScholarshipTeam USA

The principal aim of the Team USA Scholarship is to provide opportunities for young American race car drivers at an early stage in their careers. This includes funded drives and introductions to influential figures within the sport who will provide valuable insight and contacts to assist their progress up the racing “ladder.”

Teamusa logoThe Team USA Scholarship was founded in 1990. At the time, opportunities for young American drivers were few and far between. Also, Formula Ford in England was going through a lean spell. British championship races were being canceled due to a lack of entries and it seemed that the future of the Formula Ford Festival, which had provided an end-of-season opportunity for talented up-and-coming drivers from around the world since 1972, was in jeopardy. So it seemed like a good idea to raise some sponsorship and create an opportunity for a talented young American to contest the Formula Ford Festival and World Cup at Brands Hatch. A program was instituted at relatively short notice and Jimmy Vasser was dispatched to England…where he faced one of the largest entries the Festival had ever attracted, over 200 cars!

Rising Star RacingRising Star Racing

RSR has a unique mission in the world of motorsports: to help ensure that the most deserving drivers get the opportunities they have earned. RSR subscribes to the ideal that world-class talent, hard work, dedication and desire should rise to the top in motorsports just as they do in most other sports.

RSR seeks to level the playing field by matching corporate sponsors with a very select group of young open-wheel drivers. Drivers who are the whole package, but lack the full backing to progress and flourish. We provide funding, marketing and promotional support, and career guidance to our drivers with the goal of helping them reach the pinnacle of North American open-wheel racing, the IndyCar Series.
